If left parties (with mere 59 MP seats) had shown any regard for Indian Strategic interests, it would have joined the government and had a closer look at the deal and then made its stand on the whole deal. Instead, left parties continued to stay outside the government and wasted valuable time to get this deal done. Left is barking pointlessly on this whole issue blaming PM Manmohan Singh. Left parties have lost their chance of winning Indian citizens support and have nulled their future. Indian voters will disregard this China party in the next elections and show them an exit to China.
Their main opposition was not about lack of deatils or openness in this deal but an alliance with US. Nothing would prompt a support from Left other than a strategic alliance with China.
Its time we write of Left parties and depend more on other parties minus left minus Hindutva forces.
