He thought it was simple to post 140 charcaters on twitter instead of clarifying his views on new visa guidelines which could have taken hours or even days to fight it out with other members in his department.

Advise to Minister of state for external affairs, Shahsi tharoor: Tax payers are paying you monthly wages and reimbursing your five star hotel stays not to tweet, but to team up with other members in your team and reason out with them in shaping the guidelines and making our country safe. We want you to work hard in making your views clear to them and contribute your mite to the security of this nation and its progress. We don’t like it, when you put your cry baby face on twitter and garner sympathy in front of twitter crowd who may not have all the gory details you have. Be a man and defend your views within the 4 walls of the ministry or else ressign and tweet full time. If people with powers are showing helplessness, impatience and are irresponsibly fighting it out in the open, what kind of confidence are you giving us?
It is we, who should tweet and blog because thats what we are good at doing. We have given you privillege to do the the stuff we can’t.

Congress party’s age old partisan politics and “what is in it for me” attitude has done greater damage for itself in dealing with Telangana issue. Sonia Gandhi has lost credibility in her knee jerk reaction to KCR’s hunger strike and announcement of separate telangana overnight and that day being her birthday also added to the controversy.

It is time now to start afresh consultations with opposition parties, people and come to consensus on the agitation of Telanganites. It is time to review the allegations of water allocations, fund allocations and influx of people from other regions into Telangana and rendering localites jobless. It is time to take this agitation away from street goondas and real estate brokers who have used every trick in the book to showcause what they can do.

Separate Telangana or United Andhra Pradesh, following things are must for review
1) Fresh look at all water projects that were planned but not implemented, planned but left half done.
2) Fresh look at allocation of funds
3) Rename the state to Telugu pradesh, if United state is still an option.
4) Creating leaders from Telangana region, by giving opportunity to localites for various positions within the government.
5) Creation of educational infrastructure in Telangan region
6) Spending additional 10% of all tax money generated from Hyderabad for Telangana upliftment.

This episode should bring in needed discussion on ethics in politics. There are scores of Politicians in roles such as MLAs, MPs, CMs, PMs and Ministers etc who abuse their power for their selfish needs and also try to strengthen their personal or family businesses.
A process should kick in now to tackle issues such as high level corruption that happens in power corridors. Strong laws to prevent criminals from entering into politics.
Strong laws to punish culprits who destroy public properties to demonstrate their street power politics in meeting their political deeds they can’t achieve through democratic process.

NRIs have been sending money from decades which actually filled the plates of government that helped them to import goods into the country. Sending dollars to India is not of a recent phenomenon. There will be flood of dollars in coming months due to low interest rates in US and how is this editor going to stop that is still unknown. Government on one hand is seeking cheap money and economictimes editorial staff is roguish and is resorting to jingoism without any purpose.

If Hasan is on US payroll and if he saw a conflict of interest between his duties as US military employee and as a true devotee of Islam, then he should have simply resigned from the job and join the Mosque. But, wait a minute, If he resigned who would pay his bills and who would give him and his family members food? Definitely not the local mosque and definitely not the Allah. These bastards want to enjoy the fruits of democracy, freedom and richness of other cultures but at the same time want to pursue a double life as a true Muslim too. If he was not allowed to resign, then he should not have joined the army in first place.

But wait a minute, Islam says that you cannot work for for-profit organizations and also arguably says that you cannot fight against muslims. It also says that you cannot cooperate with jews and Christians etc. That leaves very few places for Muslims to pursue their career and growth. These unwritten rules and tenets will isolate Muslims more to a point that they all need an Island to themselves to breathe and practise religion.

Who would trust fellow Muslims in their offices now? It is the Mosque that is breeding ground of terrorism. If cleric was not able to clear the confused mind of Hasan, then who should have done that?

Islam as a religion is good in books, but what is bad is its interpretation that is imbibed in the minds of millions that can dangerously affect Islam’s future.
Its time for the Clerics  to rethink on how to build a future version of this abused religion.

Destruction of Dollar value and Electric cars can stop the abuse of Islam. OPEC countries and many other Muslim oil producing countries have huge reserves of Dollars. It is these dollars that are sitting idle and spreading evil version of Islam. Dollars destruction would definitely put a brake on that. Electric cars would definitely push all Muslim countries to begging as they didn’t diversify at all all these years. They will then know how to co-exist and work hard.

Give all Muslims a big chunk of earth with no connectivity to the rest of the cultures and religion. Let them survive, breath and practise religion as they wish. On what basis is Jagan qualified to be Chief Minister? The current mess in Andhra Pradesh congress is the creation of YSR. He made sure that no one gets elected to Assembly on congress ticket who can challenge him.  He carefully selected toothless leaders and also gave them free rein to loot the state. He implemented schemes for poor only with the tax payers money, but didn’t work hard to increase the tax revenue of the state to help sustain the social schemes he introduced.

All the Ministers and MLAs who are rallying for his candidature should bow their heads in shame for the utter irresponsible behavior. This display of immaturity is only going to hurt congress in future.

Challenge to Jagan:  Accept Presidentship of Andhra Pradesh congress unit and ride it through next assembly elections. Show us your maturity, leadership qualities and above all management skills. Running a newspaper with tax payers money is not business acumen.

Today’s Political and Scientific community’s clash over 1998 nuclear tests has yielded more energy in units of kiltons than the actual nuclear tests.

Everybody be it Missile man Azad or Scientific adviser to Government Kakodkar or scientists are making vague claims of success or failures. Taxpayers need more vivid explanation and answers about past and future tests.

Why all those idiots who are shouting now were silent all these years? What right does Former president Azad has to validate the tests?

Kakodkar is a pure political person. There is no basis for us to take his word at its face value. He initially didn’t support Indo US civil nuclear pact and sided with BJP. However, he later retracted and started supporting the deal. We are still not clear about his U turn.

BJP needs to come out and explain the need to go nuclear in 1998 in a rush.

Credibility less scientific community is questioning the credibility of 1998 tests and our nuclear deterrence.  I has a taxpayer ask and also seek the credibility of our nuclear establishment first before anything else. How come you are raring your heads now after a decade? Your salaries are being paid by us and not the political outfit that runs the government. You should be working for us and not for NDA or UPA.

It is quiet unusual for a premier organization like ISRO to speak like an immature kid when faced with a failure. Rather than admit it on the face and ask for an apology from taxpayers, the chairperson went on saying the following which reflects very poorly on his professional ethics and work attitude.

1. Even though Chadrayaan – I died a premature death, we achieved 95% of the goals.
2. US and Europe were also satisfied with the results.

To Honorable chairperson of ISRO : If you have achieved 95% of the goals within few months of launch, why did you plan for 2 year research programe with Chadrayaan – I? Why waste taxpayers money? Why do you need a certificate from US and Europe to pat on your back?
In all this failure, where did you speak to the tax payers on Chandrayaan’s mission?

You have not taken us into confidence in your mission and are now seeking refuge by making stupid statements. Come out clean and boldly accept that its was an error on your teams part and go on with Chandrayaan – II. Moon mission is not new and there is no rocket science in it. US, RUSSIA have accomplished them years ago and you can collaborate with them to reduce failure rate. The recent failure which is related to estimating moon’s temperature is trivial and this doesn’t bode well or instill confidence in us about your future endeavors.

Obviously abuse of any kind especially child abuse should be punishable. So, Urvashi should be punished for abusing the 10 year old. This issue should be treated as a child abuse and should not be mixed up with Child labor issue as the two are different issues and are very complex to deal with. Even though urvashi committed 2 crimes under existing laws, we should not be screaming about child labor as there are many who break this law. There are many construction companies who employ child labors. There are many kids employed by film industry and film fraternity. It would be very easy to catch many child labor offenders and our jails won’t be enough to fill them up.

Until the following is achieved

1. Compulsory education to all children below 14 years and a monthly remuneration to the poor families who send their kids to schools.
2. Banning begging by children below 14 years
3. Rigorous punishment for employing children.

Unless the above conditions are met  and few more holes that i may not list  here are covered by the government, we cannot put in a law that bans Child labor. It is very easy to make a law, but to create an environment where there is an incentive for children under 14 coming from poor families to go to school is difficult. Otherwise, these kids who by virtue of law are put out of workl force and hence  may end up begging or resort to crime without work.

Zoya Akhtar says we need strong laws to prevent Child labor. But how can she be blind to Child artists (especially reality shows based on children) in film industry? That is also considered Child labor. How can she remain blind to many under aged children working directly and or indirectly for film industry? These are something closer to her profession and she should look there rather than echoing a well known position on Child Labor.

We can sort of agree on a middle ground to help under aged children in the interim. Anyone who employs children should also take care of their education. It is sort of adoption and creating a good environment for the kids in return for help from them.

Government should create evening schools and colleges for such children. This is one such solution that makes sense for countries like India.

Farah Khan has a point that there are two sides to this issue.

Let us not create laws that are meaningless. Let us look at the Indian context of this problem rather than echo a position that suits Western countries. There will be other fallouts in reaction to banning child labor that will be impossible to deal with in India. Let us plug other fallouts of which i listed few.
